From the time he was four years old, Mark Brzezienski began training in classical piano. Over the years he became quite accomplished as a young musician, touring the country for concerts during his teenage years.

Brzezienski considered music to be something he did for fun and as he prepared for college he became interested in pursuing a career in medicine. Enrolling in a mentorship program for high school students interested in health care careers, Brzezienski had the opportunity to spend an entire month one summer shadowing a physician.
